Office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
 

Academic Affairs is the core of the University, which is comprised of the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Education and Human Services, the School of Health Professions Studies, the School of Management, and many support programs and centers.  Under the direction of the Chancellor, academic affairs is lead by the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jack Kay, and he serves as the chief academic officer of the campus.  The Provost advises in the formulation of undergraduate and graduate academic policy and plans, working with deans, other academic administration and faculty governance bodies.  The Provost provides leadership in the pursuit of campus-wide academic excellence and supervises all units within the realm of academic affairs.  The Office of the Provost includes the following programs:
 

  • Associate Provost for Graduate Programs and Research

  • Assistant Provost for Academic Assessment and Institutional Accredition

  • Honors Program

  • International and Global Studies Program

  • Institutional Analysis

  • Frances Willson Thompson Library

  • Thompson Center for Learning and Teaching

  • Women's Educational Center
